Amatista Basses is a handmade musical instrument workshop which produces electric upright basses, led by Horacio Etcheverry. In 1986 he started his career as luthier building his first electric bass. Being a double bass player himself, he knows of the daily hardships with the instrument. From the year 2000 on, he devoted himself to the research and construction of a fine electric upright bass.

Today Amatista´s electric upright basses, are bringing their unique sound into a variety of musical environments like jazz, tango, salsa, rock, flamenco and world-music in cities like Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Ushuaia, Santiago de Chile, Madrid, Barcelona, and París among others. |
