Cyr Guitars is a builder of custom basses and guitars, both acoustic and electric. Recently added is a solid body electric upright bass, with a flame-maple capped swamp ash body, birdseye maple neck, and Macassar ebony fingerboard. The bass has a 41-1/4-inch scale length, and has three K&K Big Shot pickups and a Bartolini 2-band EQ preamp. The design is meant to capture the flavor and of a traditional upright bass.
