I recently purchased this instrument from the maker. It has a carved spruce top and maple back and sides, bass bar, soundpost etc. A high C string and a long E (low C). It is a truly remarkable instrument that is constructed by a master doublebass maker Neville Whithead. As a Double bassist and Electric bassist this instrument to me represents the ultimate EUB in its performance, portability and workmanship. Check out the 5 string at Mr Whiteheads website. It is now mine!!
