Azola® Basses - BugBass

Mine is a standard model BugBass that I bought used. It was less than one year old when I bought it (still under warranty AAMOF. Strung with the OEM strings (LaBellas). Took the LaBellas off and re-strung it with Corelli Tungsten 370 in Solo gauge. Plays and sounds much better with the Corellis.

Wish I could compare sound to a more trad instrument, but this is my first delving in to upright world. The piezo output is VERY HOT, and can be plugged straight into my bass amp (all-Eden) with no buffering.

Well made, finish is nice. My only "niggle" is that the position markers don't quite match up to pitch.

FWIW, Steve and Jill Azola are wonderful people to work with. One of the "ears" on one of the keys was loose and rattled, so I contacted Azola about a replacement. Jill ended up sending a complete set of four keys for less than their cost -- like $20.00 total!
