Just bought this last night. I highly recommend it for electric players who want to venture into playing upright without making the huge commitment to practice that a real upright-style instrument requires. I am a rock guy who plays some blues/jazz and the 34" scale makes the transition easy for me. The bass is well made and although it does not sound *exactly* like an upright, it is close enough for what I need. Plus it looks quite striking!

I may replace the standard flatwounds with some nylon taped strings to see if it gives it more of an upright thud. If you like upright sounds that growl you will like this. And the price is right!
