Karl makes a great bass, especially for the money. He made this custom for me out of Zebrawood with a Purpleheart fingerboard. The electronics were Bartolini 18volt with 3 band eq, 3 way mid shift, and piezo magnetic blend. It bows well and has a very good real doublebass tone. With the magnetic pickup on, it whines like a big electric fretless. The action is better than some electric basses Ive played. Unreal.Karl used the K&K bass max piezo on this one with Picato Innnovater strings.
