I love playing this bass and was comfortable on it immediately. It took a little while to adjust to the shorter scale length, however and I would probably have gone with 41.5 if I had it to do over again. It sounds beautiful with the bow and has great punch and a wonderful round tone when plucked. I played it in a small acoustic ensemble for a theater gig and with a loud 9-piece world beat band at a dance gig. It worked great in both settings. I couldn't be happier. Oh, it's beautiful to look at, too. John Knutson was prompt, reliable and accessible. I recommend his service highly.
