This is quite a bass. A streamlined maple body with a very fine ebony fingerboard. Orientation/support  is provided by a (removable) clever metal ring construction. The 103cm scale is just right for bringing out that extra deep sustained growl that we all know and love. On the electronics side of things, the instrument boast a very fine integrated coaxial transducer made by Highlander, which is driven by a easy to get to nine volt battery. The reproduction from this transducer is impressive. Very clean and present. I've found the custom Schaller tuners to be very accurate and the proprietary adjustable Fichter bridge is unlike anything else on an electric upright in it's class. Included in the price of the instrument is a very protective gig bag and a remarkably heavy duty display stand (which has survived commercial airline baggage handlers the world over). Needless to say i am a very proud and satisfied owner of one of these basses. I've found this instrument to be effective in every situation from jazz to hip-hop to rock and beyond. It travels well, fits into the overhead compartment of  any plane i've been on, and plays like a dream. It is one of the simplest constructions of the current crop of modern electric upright basses. Further proof that less is more.
