Some EUBs may be bowed, but few give a convincing bowed tone.
Those which works better at arco are probably hollow or semi-hollow, not solid-body. (although this is not to say that some could sound well too...)
I'd check the Eminence and the Knutson Messenger.
The top quality Azolas are worth a check too.
But if you really want to play arco, my advice is to get an acoustic...
For the price of a top quality EUB, you'd get a very good UB, and nothing beats that.
I'm into EUB playing because of its portability, and I play jazz only.
