Jason,  I play Clevinger Basic that I purchased in 1996.  I had it upgraded last year with the tailpiece and new pickups.  I love it!  Amp is GK-112, as most of my playing is with smaller intimate groups.  It could bow better if the player was a better bower!  Pizz work is outstanding.  The range of tone and volume without changing the settings is very good as well.  You can set string height to whatever suites you fairly easily.  What more do you want to know?
