I've been playing bass for 3 years now and I have done some recording with a local band. I did some low tone bowing and some pizzacatto. I find that the pizz. strings are fine if you want to do some bowing. But if you would like to do more bowing I suggest finding a diffrent string type. Make sure you upkeep the strings though (changing or boiling) or you could end up breaking a string in a gig like I did. Right in a solo lol.
