Loose neck AUB  11 Jan 2004 20:42 GMT   [#348: Yn/w3azjNE]
From: Brian Bockoven <brianb -at- aaahawk.com>
My buddy has an old King Moretone 3/4 AUB manufactured by H N White in Cleveland that has developed a buzz that is very apparant when amplified (Bluegrass).  After removing the strings, we found that the neck is loose and can be shifted back and forth about 2 degrees each direction.  Can anyone tell me how to remove the neck so that it can be re-glued.  All other joints around the front and back of the body are sound at this point.
This instrument has plywood front and back (arched) and is at least 80 years old according to research relating to the serial number inside.  Any information that will help us in repairing this fiddle will be greatly appreciated.
