Hi.
It could be a great idea to switch to an electric upright if you're an electric bass player.
There are even short scale EUBs that would be even easier for you to play.
If you choose to go with a regular upright bass scale, be aware that to get a closer acoustic tone means you'll have to get a more expensive EUB.
The EUB has the advantage of portability, durability, easier amplification.
What is your target price?
