Acceptable Use Policy

DVOI.COM provides limited Internet services to registered users. The available facilities can be used without much restriction by all users. In support of this, some policies must be followed by everyone:
- If a user commits an intentionally destructive act, such as violation of privacy, the account will be revoked.
- Posting chain letters, invitations to join in pyramid or ponzi schemes, and similar notices, is a violation of regulations and is a fraudulent act in certain jurisdictions. Such actions are sufficient grounds for account closure.
- Any attempt to violate system integrity by breaking system security, or any attempt to alter or destroy data belonging to another user will cause revocation of the offending account. The account owner will be held responsible for all uses of his/her account.
- Storing illegally obtained information of any sort, such as source code belonging to a specific vendor, is grounds for account revocation.
- Persistent abuse of other users of the system, or of the owners of the system, will cause the account to be revoked.
DVOI.COM has a zero tolerance policy for spam. The rule is quite simple: If we receive a spam message, the sender will be blacklisted before he/she sends us another spam, no matter what he/she is. Spamming, the sending of unsolicited commercial or advertisement e-mail from or through a DVOI.COM host, or by using an e-mail address that is maintained on a DVOI.COM host, or spamming bulletin boards and/or mailing lists with unsolicited advertisements for any service provided by DVOI.COM, is strictly prohibited. DVOI.COM will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.
